Reina Estrella's Journal, 14 October 2008

Well, today did NOT go as planned at all...

That's not necessarily a bad thing, it just didn't go the way I wanted...

First, I wanted me and Sean to take 2 of our dogs (the puppies) to the park today...so...we got in the car this morning and were ready to go...we went through McDonald's drive thru to get a soda for while we were there...(I'm always thirsty) and one of the dogs pooped all in the backseat...

That completely ruined the moment and we ended up going back home.

I cleaned the house again and then went shopping for fall decor and such...It was fun to shop...then I came home and put away everything and then got to decorate my house for fall! It looks so great...I really enjoy doing things like that...it is so peaceful and really just helps me to relax...plus, I'm staying active and using my brain too...

I went over my carb goal by 3 grams, but I'm not about to beat myself up over that. I ate 3+ cups of veggies and ending up having a "legal" dessert, that put me over a little bit...

I couldn't tell you the last time I actually went over my carb limit, so I'm really not worried...

Well, tomorrow I'm going to attempt to go to the park once again...but this time I'll take my older pup who behaves well and is car trained...LOL.

I was sad that I didn't get in as much exercise as possible...but I still think I managed to do pretty good...

Hope you can limit yourself on carbs OK in the days ahead. Remember if you can do one day at a time it's easier. Tonight I almost made a sugar free dessert. I didn't do it because I had a banana. I felt full fifteen minutes later. I don't remember the last time I pigged out - that's the good thing about Atkins. We only need to eat a little bit of food with this low carb metabolism to be full! I know what you mean about dogs. My friends - a female neighbor and her son who is a young adult have a van and the dog messed all over my grocery bags last week. He thinks a car or van is a bathroom. The only place he won't go is her apartment! He'll run down the hall to the elevator and - plop! Anyway, he goes everywhere but inside her apartment - that is the only place he's housebroken! He's like 8 months old and is half chiuaua and half jack russell (my middle name is russell so I like those dogs best and they're cute too) - but this animal is completely wild! He has the chiuaua side! Good luck the rest of the week dieting! :)
