I've been in the "blue" zone for just over two years now. I think what keeps me there, more than anything else, is my daily weigh-in. It's curious how my weight can fluctuate a pound or more in one day, but as long as it vacillates around my goal, I'm happy with it doing that. Most of the time I cannot zero in on what made it go up or down - I think it's just the body's continuous adjustment to life, diet, exercise. Anyway, I will continue to keep the scale tucked under my bedside and use it every morning.
