So I weighed myself this morning, found out that my starting weight was higher than I expected. Slightly depressing, but it's not the end of the world. Just means I'll have to work that much harder. :)

I know it's totally corny, but my god do I enjoy Richard Simmons' exercise DVDs. I'm way (way) out of shape, so even these relatively simple moves get my muscles burning. And I've forgotten what a good feeling that is. My current plan is to get through 1-2 songs a night and keep repeating and adding more songs until I can do the whole DVD in one go. The only downside is that they're not the original Disco songs, but since they're slowed down to fit the pace it makes sense. And it's cheaper, I imagine.

Today's "hurdle" - it's Donut Wednesday. And I'm the one who brings them in. I'll just have to rearrange what I eat for the rest of the day so I can enjoy my once-a-week treat: a Maple Glazed.
