Pathetic Day!
3 Chocolate kisses, a 3-pack of Reese's Peanut Butter cups, 1/2 sleeve of Thin Mints, 3 Tootsie Rolls.....what else????? This is what I supplemented my healthy meals with yesterday! After giving an "ultimatum" to my husband of 15 years about getting into counseling for personal as well as ongoing alcohol issues, I was anxious all day and gave into any and all cravings! Since the anxiety is likely to continue, as he has until the end of Oct. to "comply", I need some healthier ways to cope. Help! (Today, so far so good, but I can hear that "I just don't care about eating healthy" voice coming back already).

Shrug off the "pathetic" day and make a conscious effort to get back on the horse. We all stumble at one point or another! Just don't try TOO hard. Sometimes are body is lacking a nutrient, vitamin or mineral that we aren't getting in our diets. And usually if we aren't feeding it to our body, it will finally get fed up and scream at us and then cause us to go overboard with what we eat. So be sure that you are getting everything you need and if you crave something, just have a little and move on. :) Have a wonderful day :)

Having lots of stess to cope with is tough...but relieve your stress in positive ways...Plan your menu for the upcoming week and cook some things in advance so when you are about to *cave in* - you have healthier options at your finger tips!! Setting boundaries is also very important for our health....Good luck darlin'...things have a way of working out....Hugggies...Deb

I gave the same ultimatum to my ex in 1997 as he wouldn't give up his daily pot, hash, what-have-you habit. I took the kids and left, and am so much better for it today. I'm not saying this is the choice you should make, but go with your heart. Get outside and run - it really helps to combat stress (I trained for a marathon while going through the 'ultimatum'). Endorphins are wonderful! Take care of yourself first: exercise, eat nutritiously, be your own best friend and everything will fall into place.
