I have gained 14 pounds since March 1st due to terrible eating habits and lack of physical activity; my job is closed indefinitely due to the pandemic. I spent my newfound free time eating, watching true crime documentaries, snacking and napping.

I was devastated when I stepped on the scale but I'm determined to lose my lockdown pounds plus 20 more to get back in shape. I've been using mfp for a week but this app seems to better fit what I'm looking for!

I plan to update my journal daily with different themes to keep myself on track.

Measurement Monday: taking and documenting measurements from my waist, hips, bust, arms and legs.

Tracking Tuesday: I will review my food tracking for the week and identify any improvements or changes I can make. I will compare my weekly average for calories in vs calories out to ensure I stay at a deficit.

Weigh In Wednesday: official weigh in for the week using my smart scale to track weight and other fitness indicators (estimated body fat and muscle mass, BMI, etc)

Transformation Thursday: weekly progress photos from all angles. Yikes!

Fitness Friday: try a new workout in addition to my daily routine!

Sweat It Out Saturday: push myself in my daily routine by adding extra reps in the circuit and increasing my cardio

Self Care Sunday: break from intense exercise with a focus on yoga and stretching, plus a relaxing beauty routine.

That is a great plan and you absolutely can succeed! There is so much support here. Keep posting! The accountability, community, and the access to all the tools on this app helps me so much! Go girl!

Sounds like you have a solid plan! What's really helped for me is being meticulous about tracking calories so I know exactly where I'm at in regards to my limit. Little things like a teaspoon of olive oil (40 calories!) when you're cooking can add up quick. A food scale helps SO much. At first it was kind of a pain, but now it has become so routine that I don't even think about. There's lots of support here so you're in good hands 😁
