crabby Kat's Journal, 05 July 2013

She lives! Hi all, I've been sleep-deprived and have had difficulty getting to the computer to come here and visit with you all. I record my food & exercise from my phone, and occasionally weigh-in, but can't really journal or read journals from there. The thought of typing on my Kindle wears me out at this point.

I've missed you all, and think about you, my friends. My partner said something about maybe going to Ohio & I tried to remember which of you lives around where we may go...

I'm doing fairly well; I've cut down on Zumba & wear my more supportive dance shoes, lightened up a little on my weight training, and my body feels less abused, lol! My foot still hurts, my legs still tighten up, which makes it difficult to sleep & lack of sleep exacerbates my pain..... But I just keep going, feeling my way to feeling better.

I had a really bad day where I had too little sleep, I had to wait at home to sign for a package that wasn't delivered until 6 pm! and other little things. It all added up to me pacing up & down, reading a book on my Kindle, and eating mini M&Ms & 70% dark chocolate wafers from my baking supplies; lots of them. Sheesh, I should have sat with my laptop & used the time more productively.

Well, if you take a look at my weight, you'll see that I may trip & fall occasionally, but continue to get back up & keep going. I hit an all-time low this morning, so that I've now lost about 130 pounds from my heaviest all-time weight.

Funny thing; I agreed to be a diet buddy for one of my gym buddies who wants to lose 10 pounds, starting Monday. I told her I want to lose 5 pounds, but if I do my partner will give me a hard time about all my bones that are now visible. (Yes, our 15th year together & just yesterday noticed my bunion on my right foot! I guess I had really fat feet.) :oD

I'll read the diet information my buddy gave me, and share some low-carb recipes from here with her, but I don't think I can follow her diet; at 1200 - 1500 calories a day with my exercise routine I'll get the vapors instead of muscles. Or, more likely, do some inappropriate bingeing, lol.

I'm going to take a break to eat some of the Tex-Mex Pasta Salad I made yesterday & then come back & attempt to read a few journals. Hugs to those of you who like them, big grins to those who don't.

Wish I was in Ohio and you could have lunch with me - but woe is me here in Chicagoland.

Wow! congrats on losing so much weight...I've been trying to lose 40 pounds in the same time that you have lost over 100! Over the past three weeks I've been making lifestyle changes that will hopefully get me better results. Congrats on losing and keeping the weight off!

Oh, I haven't lost that all since I've been on FS. I lost over 100 several years ago, gained half back. I started at 202 in late 2011, facing turning 50 in 2012 with really bad knees, & made serious changes. Now I'm looking at turning 51 in a few weeks in much better shape! Thanks, mrbananna. You'll find your way. Neptunebch, if I ever make it to your neck of the woods I would love to have lunch with you.

Glad to hear from you. 130 lb loss, wow. You do look amazing and I am sure your body feels so much better with all that weight off. I continue to be amazed that you do so much given your aches and pains, etc. And glad though that you are being kinder to your body. Continue to look after you and don't be a stranger, we miss you and worry about you :)
