What a difference a good night's sleep makes! But, I had a good day yesterday, took that nap & really wasn't tired or extra hungry, so it was all good! DH & I had dinner out last night, and a good conversation about the upcoming 2 weeks with his family. I'm feeling very good about it all! We seem to have a nice mix of planned activities & downtime, so I'll get in the time I need to rejuvenate, i.e. meditate, nap, journal, etc. I spoke up to him about recognizing how important it is for me to have some time to myself vs his need to socialize more, and how we can work through that going forward. He really is a great guy, but gets caught up in his career & stressed out by it, and sometimes just has to be reminded that I'm not his secretary or employee. We then stopped in to our neighbor's son's 16th birthday party which was fun. We are getting old though as we both said the music was just too loud & made it hard to chat with our friends.
I'm off to Zumba this morning, will squeeze in some work this afternoon & then head to the lake with DH & DS to meet my SIL & family who should arrive there early evening... and the fun begins!
But as I'll need to & be sure to do each day, I'll begin in prayer --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And, I'll pray, breathe, journal & express throughout this one day and each of its one meal, moment, bite & emotion while being grateful for all the blessings in my life -- all of you, DH & my boys, our extended families & friends, and a good night's sleep! xoxoxo
