Virus - Go AWAY! Wednesday my baby was sick, yesterday I was sick, last night my husband caught it and just a minute ago the school called and said my 6 year old was running 101.6 fever. She was fine when I left for work this morning. It has made it's way through everyone but my 5 year old. I'm sure she is next. I was the luckiest one so far on getting sick. I just had a little fever and diarea but everyone else has had high fever and throwing up. I went to class even though I was sick last night because the teacher is very strict on her attendance policy. If you have perfect attendance you get 5 pts bonus on your exam and if you miss more than 2 classes she will drop your grade a whole letter. So I went even though I felt bad and I didnt know my husband was sick until I got home. I felt so bad for him trying to take care of 3 kids as sick as he was. On my way home from class last night I drove no faster than 35 on a 55 mph lane road. I didn't really think that accident would affect me so much but I was terrified of driving that road last night. A coyote ran accross the road in front of me once and I almost had a meltdown. I cried and started shaking. By the time I got home my sholders were sore from gripping the steering wheel so hard. I know that sounds dramatic and I really am not a drama queen or super emotional or anything but I think it will take me a long time to get used to driving on country roads at night - if ever. About 2 months ago my cousin was killed in an accident similar to mine. He swerved to miss a cow that was out and was killed in the wreck. My other cousin, his brother, told me that you can call *55 on your cell phone to reach the highway patrol. He said anytime he or his family see cattle or horses out on the roads they call them. I am going to start doing the same thing. Still no word on the isurance. The insurance adjustor said he is having a hard time getting the owner of the cow to call him back. He also said from experience with the guy on past insurance claims he is slow to get back to him. I asked if the past claims were from people hitting his cows and he said no. I really hope my car is covered.
