I started this process in mid Nov/19 at the weight of 212.6 lb. To date, I have lost 8.6 lb. and when I achieve my goal of 180.0 lb, I will have lost 32.6 lb. While 32.6 lb. is huge, I could drop another 30 lb. after that and just make a high normal weight of 150 lb. Sigh! My ability to exercise is severely limited by the huge impact of arthritis on my body. I am waiting for complex spinal surgery and am barely ambulatory. Doctor's orders are to be as sedentary as possible until surgery can be done. I was supposed to have the surgery last Wednesday BUT along came Covid19. I tested positive in the hospital on the surgery day. I was sent home to self quarantine along with hubby, Rick. We've been home alone for 7 days and have been healthy with normal temperatures and no other symptoms. So, while I didn't have the needed surgery, I feel I was snatched from being tossed into the Covid19 soup. I wanted that surgery with my whole being, but seeing the sweeping escalation of the pandemic, I am grateful to not have been operated on.
There IS a reason for everything.
