Gotta love it when weigh-in day coincides with the monthly Stroller Strides potluck playdate. Mmm, chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin bread... Proud of myself for stopping there, though, instead of eating just because there were tasty treats at hand. Actually had a little bit of a tummyache when we left, too- I guess I'm just not as accustomed to snacking on rich, buttery, sugary snacks as I used to be.

But I will admit I have been having the WORST cravings for a big, juicy, heart-attack-on-a-plate cheeseburger. The last few nights of dinner have been "burger substitutes": chicken burger, grilled chicken sandwich, etc. Whenever I see a commercial for someplace with a burger, I get wicked cravings. So, I think I need to just go ahead and have one without feeling guilty about it. I mean, I haven't had a "go-to-hell" kind of burger like that in OVER SEVEN MONTHS. I doubt I will be able to even eat half of it, but I will enjoy it so thoroughly... and then go back to being good immediately afterwards. :) All things in moderation, right?

Have you thought about making some burger sliders for the family. Make a small burger but infuse it with herbs/with some healthy veggies (grilled or marinated) or even low fat skinny cow cheese in the middle. Pick the 80% lean and get some multi-grain slider buns or even honey wheat bread (use cooking cutter and make a circle shape from the bread then toast). Then, you could do oven baked fries and give yourself a spicy dip for your oven fries (i.e. a Sriraicha/mayo combo). On your burger you could but a little piece of lettuce and 1 slice of a small tomato. Have a mixed green salad with it too if you like.
