MommieAnya0220's Journal, 26 August 2008

Okay.. I binged.. I let myself get TOO freaking hungry. My body ravaged the BBQ on hot dog buns... and cheese, and ramen.. Stuff I was making for Owen to eat.. along with some fresh peaches.

900+ calories for ONE FREAKING MEAL!!

And could my son be anymore annoying right now?! I'm stressing out because he's yelling at me very loudly, trying to get my attention, which is currently not on him at this very second.. *sigh*..

Well, now I'm full..of food and guilt.

Why did I let myself get SOO hungry and it's like I couldn't stop myself.

I think a major walk is in order for this afternoon. I think when my food gets further down the digestive highway, I'll go. Hopefully it won't rain.. If so, then I'll walk in place for 30 minutes... hopping, skipping and jumping..

Stupid Anya. Stupid!

I was working on integrating more veggies in.. and I thought eating his bbq chicken on a bun would encourage him to eat it... lol, I wasn't thinking.. My tummy had other motives..

You need to remember (like I should be telling you what you need!) that you are doing this to take care of you. That you deserve this. That above all YOU ARE WORTH THIS! And you also have a responsibility to be an example of sanity. Sane eating, and sane emotions. Owen will be okay if you get rid of all of the non-SB food in the house. There are plenty of SB approved things that kids will eat, and what they probably won't eat you can always douse with ranch dressing or sugar-free ketchup. You will not be depriving your child of anything if you only keep healthy food in the house, but if you don't take care of yourself you will, as you have said yourself, deprive him of the experience of a healthy, fit mom. I'm not trying to be preachy, but your pain and frustration kind of lept off the page, and I really want you to see that you have a lot of control over what happens (more than it feels like sometimes, I'm sure) and I would love to see you find a place where you feel happy and calm. I'm going to look up some kid-friendly SB stuff, and pass them on to you, if that would be helpful. I think you're a great person, and I want this to be easier for you, 'cause you DESERVE it! And no more guilt...it is not healthy for you, and it is unproductive. You are doing the best you can with the resources you have--these times of "failure" are really just opportunities to figure out what's going wrong and how to fix it. I wish you all the best. (Have you ever thought about a little Benadryl Kool-Aid in a sippy cup? Just Kidding!)

Your comment was just the boost I needed. That's one thing I love about this site. Everyone is here for the same reasons, and you get support from EVERYONE. You're a great inspiration, Simille, to me, and I greatly appreciate your very kind words and suggestions. I bought a few things yesterday that I think might help Owen out.. like a Broccoli and cheese/rice thingie from Green Giant, and some fruit strips. I'm hoping your links will help Owen and I out for ideas for dinners. Do you think you could send me those links in a message on here, considering they didn't show up in your comment?
