Need to tighten up the calorie intake - it's usually the late night stuff that hurts - I know I'd be better off going to bed earlier (more rest, less time to snack) but it's the only time I have to wind down from the day.

I totally understand your frustration. I used to work nights and couldn't eat a decent dinner until after I got home from work which was usually about 9 or 10 at night. The key is to be aware of what kind of calories you are taking in. If you are eating a heavy late meal and/or snack, of course that will be worse for you. Try to eat light!
