I KNOW that Atkins works for me. I have to commit myself 100%. I tend to get discouraged and craving something I shouldn't have and change my diet to calorie count thinking it's more flexible and I will just lose the weight slowly but then I end up not losing getting even more discouraged and giving up.

I did this in 2010 and lost 88 pounds. I know I can do it again. Back then getting on here everyday and having the support group here helped me so much. I hope I can find that again. :)

You can do it! If you've done it before, you know that once you get into it, it's not so bad. It's just starting out that's the hard part. Good luck : )

Thank you. I know I can. Eating out is the hardest part. When I did it in 2010 I worked in a paper factory... the office but still it was hard to leave for lunch and even then there weren't many places to eat if I did leave. Now I work at a Home Health office and have alot of co-workers and plenty of good restaurants to eat at so everyday someone is asking me to go for chineese or italian... so hard to turn down. lol When I am not at the office though I am on the road alot and have to grab lunch on the go. I am going to figure that all out though. I'm bringing my lunch. It will save money and help me lose weight. You're right. The first two weeks are the hardest and then you kindof get in the groove and it's pretty easy 90% of the time. Watching the weight drop, drop, drop really helps too.

I also work on the road and end up eating out a lot. It's tough. I try to make time to cook my dinner before work and bring it in, but if I don't do all of my planning and shopping on the weekend, then I'm screwed for the week. I've found that some of the sandwiches at the diner are really good without the bread. Sometimes I'll get Chinese and have them swap out the rice for broccoli. If you like sushi, you can get naruto rolls.

The low carb tortillas are great for sandwiches, and if you want something super crunchy, just a little salty - pork rinds! no carbs - I'm in love! I started Atkins last July, lost 35lbs, but been sort of slacking the last few months...staying within the same 5 lbs, so doing ok, but have our daughter's wedding in July, so as of today, I'm back on Induction. No sneaking my hubbys granola bars! lol Hang in there - Eating out is hard, but the times that we do go, I just try to stick with chef salad...that's the easiest for me, as long as I remember to tell them no croutons :) BUT, the hardest part for both of us is over - we KNOW Atkins will work for us - see you in 20lbs!!
