I've been eating really healthy and exercising WAY more than I normally do. I have been for 4 runs in the last week, prior to this, I haven't ran since 2001.... in grade 10, when they made me, and I walked most of it!! I can't believe I'm actually running now but I started the Couch to 5K program Couch to 5K and I have noticed an improvement RIGHT away. It's hard, still, but I got through it alright. I have been running a bit on pavement but trying to stick to grass because I don't want to hurt my knees and also I don't have proper running shoes, just some Sketcher Sports, which are great, but not proper running shoes... apparently good ones actually take into account your stride. Anyway I will eventually get some good ones, I just wanted to see if I stuck to it first and reward myself with good shoes later. I signed up for a 5k in August so I'm in training. Also I want to get bikini ready for summer. No more of this gaining weight in winter and losing in spring/summer, it's just too hard on my body and mind. I want to be healthy and stay that way.

Good for you on the running!! I am not a runner, but I wish I enjoyed it more. I do the gain in the winter and lose in the summer too, and I feel the same way, it's time to stop. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks!! :D I have never been a runner either, but I thought I would push myself out of my comfort zone, and also it was one of the only things I could think to do that was free and I could do it any time! (Except in bad weather....) I'd love to get a stationary bike for times of rain and snow, but I'm actually enjoying getting out into the fresh air for a run nowadays.
It's apparently pretty tough on your body to gain and lose weight... but more than that, it's hard on my mental state! I go from being happy and proud of myself, to being angry and mad at myself.... and that's no good! :) They say self-love and lack of stress is one of the best diets.
