Shocker! I just finished Workout 1 for Week 2 of the C25K. I cannot believe it, but it actually seemed easier than last week! I kept changing the location (treadmill, track, neighborhood), so I'm not sure how much that had to do with anything - it's an awful lot cooler in my house than outside - but I think what really made the difference is that there were fewer intervals, so the workout as a whole seemed to pass much more quickly than last week. I'm especially proud of myself for doing the workout today b/c I was so exhausted after work. I just wanted to go right to the couch - maybe even bed!! But I sucked it up and got on the treadmill. Now, the bad news is that on the treadmill, I realized just how slow I'm going. It seems that "jogging" for me is really only about 4 mph. FS lists that as a brisk walk (vs. my 3-3.2ish mph brisk walk). Sad, but much more than that and I'm wheezing before the interval is over. At 4 mph, I can finish the time. I tried to push it on the last interval today ... my treadmill shut off. So, I guess I'm back to the idea that I'll worry about adding speed later . . . at least until after I get my treadmill fixed.
