A family member really pissed me off last night. I discovered something new last night. I reach for desserts to comfort myself. A grown man and I reach for sugar for comfort!I'm as bad as the person that angered me. They tend to reach for 'other substances' as a crutch.
I'm now mad at myself AND them. Unlike most popular belief though, this is not a bad thing. Anger has a tendancy to fuel me - make me more determined. I feed on it. It most often gives me the push I need in the direction I want to go.
I will most likely spend the remainder of my day channelling this anger into exercize via uncluttering my life, cleaning up and tackling the rennovation of my unborn child's nursary.

Wow, you sound pretty upset. I'm sorry about your experience. It's especially painful to have a family member hurt our feelings. But I'm glad you're channeling them in a positive way. Congratulations on your baby.

Boy do I so understand! Very frustrating. Good that you can turn it around and create something positive with the energy that feels negative. I am the same way when it comes to anger-the fueling part.
ditto on the Congrats on your new baby! A whole wonderful human is coming into your world and will occupy your time and mind, so try not to let what another family member says or think fill up too much space in your head. (eh...yeah, much easier said than done, I know)
Good for you though for redirecting, give yourself big props for that -You made no excuses, just self-realization which is always a good thing for permanent habit changes.

Thank you both for the comments and well wishes! It's funny, baby already occupies much of my thoughts and Tot (the baby) isn't even here yet!
