Motivated's Journal, 17 October 2007

Day 2 of 3rd 6 wks, SUCCESS today! (goal is to maintain btwn 135-140 for 6 wks while adding foods.) 139lb, 36.7% body fat, 83.4lb musc mass, keto trace, 45 min level 7 ellipticle.

Breakfast choc chip granola bar atkins, coffee w half and half, lunch salad w tuna and diet coke, dinner smoked turkey, blue cheese dressing, swiss cheese and sweet pickles (low carb), sugar free jello w whipped cream.

Today, I chose not to have any of my 'extras' (wine or low carb ice cream treat) Yesterday I had an ice cream bar. So far then for this week I'm 1/7. This might be a good way to keep mental track of how many extras I can add and still maintain. One glass of wine will be '1', and ice cream bar will be '1'. Not sure what a slice of pizza (very high risk food!) might be--probably 7. Kind of fun--let's see where this goes.
139.0 lb Lost so far: 19.8 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

That's a good idea .. can't wait to hear the turn out! You are so close to your goal!! I know you are excited about that... Are you in shock that you actually did it or are you pretty confident in yourself and knew you would do it???? I was in pure shock when I lost all my weight before ... even though I knew I was on a diet and doing the right thing, when I lost it all .. a part of me was still thinking what???? LOL

IAM excited but no, I do not have confidence that I will keep it off. That's why I am working on finding a plan that will allow me to keep it off but still have a little treat now and then. I think that is the only way this will turn into a lifetime reality. I am surprised at how easy it actually was--yes, I stuck to the plan but I rarely felt deprived. It is just wonderful that we have actually found a diet where, if you stick with it, it is possible to lose the weight.
