Good Morning everyone! Yesterday I took my oldest to the dentist. She had one filling and a crown/cap done. She is 6 years old. They put her on the laughing gas and it really relaxed her and made her goofy. She doesnt even know that they gave her a shot. Her dentist was really great. I went to pick her up and the bell rang and middle school kids were all running around going to their lockers and I had a moment of panic "OMG! Do I really want to teach school?" I guess if I can get into that teaching class the observation hours should be an eye opener. I really think I would like teaching K - 3rd. Younger kids.... they are sweeter or at least they seem to be. I am signed up for Comp II, College Algebra, Elementary Spanish and I am trying to get back into Intro to Teaching but it's full. I know that will be a very heavy load but I am so interested in the teaching that I think it will be a really easy class. I got the textbook in the mail Saturday and I have already read the first two chapters.

OK so those jeans I wore last week that are a size 18w that were so tight I was uncomfortable... well I am wearing them today and they don't feel as bad. I have only lost about 3 or 4 pounds but they feel a little more loose and my stomach doesnt stick out over the top at all.... except when I sit. Then I just have to suck in if someone walks into my office. :D Yesterday AM 220.0 This AM 219.2

Amanda, your school schedule sounds pretty full. But it is a wonderful thing that you are doing this, not only for yourself but your family's future. Your children will be inspired by your hard work. My 1st class started last night. I am taking Leadership and Group Dynamics, Strategic Planning and Management, Public Service Operations, and Issues in Public Service Administration. Augh!

Wow Keli, that sounds like a full load too! My classes start Monday night the 30th. My poor brother. He goes to OSU and is a Junior. He just found out he has to have a foreign language to finish his degree. He is taking spanish this semester and his teacher is HARD. He said she spoke english the first day but not she will speak nothing but spanish. He said it is really hard to follow her in the book because even the directions in english and words that are written in english in the book she is speaking in spanish. I feel really sorry for him. My class should be really easy. I talked to the professor and she said she could tutor me Monday evenings before my algebra class. I am taking the spanish online and I will just have to listen to videos and interpret what the people are saying etc. I won't even have to speak spanish.

Good golly, I wish I was able to take an online Spanish class. It would have prevented a lot of arguments hubby and I had (we took it together). But she mostly spoke English and only spoke in Spanish what we had learned already. Spanish 2 was where we actually had to write it as well as speak it. And instead of simple statements, we were doing compositions. Thank goodness those classes are over with!

You certainly have a full load Amanda. I substituted for children in grades K-3 and they were very sweet. I hope you get back in your teaching class and that you love it.
