My son came upstairs at 2:15am and said they had found a dog outside their door and tried to call the owners but they don't answer (I wouldn't either at that time of the morning). Now, he's taken it in downstairs (I can tell because THEIR dog keeps barking)! Result was that both my husband and myself got jolted wide awake. We both got up and had a cup of hot tea (mine Sleepytime, his Vanilla Chai). NORMALLY, if I was awakened in the middle of the night, I would have had a slice of toast with peanut butter and butter on it, OR a whole English Muffin with the same. Thankfully, I intentionally let the peanut butter run out, Thomas' English Muffins, so acting on the major temptation is averted. Still, I REALLY want to eat something, but I don't want to dip into my day's allowance of calories and net carbs. I'm really not sleepy, but I'm not ready to get up, either -- my days already seem SO long, even though they're not. Guess I'll have to succumb to another half of an Ambien. Hope you're safely at home, tucked into your own warm beds!
