So Saturday was a planned splurge b/c I was invited to a colleague's house for a Alsatian (region in France) dinner. It was wonderful! It was even better b/c I was careful to plan for the dinner - eating mostly fruits and vegetables through the day - and even then didn't go overboard eating everything in sight!

Today, I began the C25K challenge. I actually did the first workout last week, but I decided the begin from the beginning today b/c the official challenge started today. Somehow, it seemed more difficult today than last week. I feel like others probably walk faster than I run, but I'm pushing myself to get through at this pace as it is, so I'll work on speed later!

I ran into a friend I haven't seen in awhile this morning. She asked what was new . . . I started to tell her about C25K, but then I didn't. I don't know if it's fear that I'll fail and then she'll know or fear that she'll think "hope this time is different." No offense to her, can't blame her at all - this isn't my first plan to get healthy. I guess in a way I've decided to stop talking about what I'm going to do and just do it. (Except here, of course, where I talk about what I did and what I'm going to do!)
