Good News & Bad News
I can't remember if I journaled this or not so here goes:
Good News:
I went for an eye check-up. The optomitrist person had a new toy which takes a photograph of the inside of one's eye. She was truely amazed at the lack of cholestrol in the veins in the eye. Apparently it's natural for people of my mature age to have at least some cholestrol deposits. Good thing she didn't take a photograph of my belly button...
Bad News:
We’re before America. I did 25 sit-ups and 25 push-ups for a challenge this morning that only starts today 18 hours later because America isn’t on today yet.
I suppose that’s not really bad news – I’ll simply have done extra because I’ll simply ‘start’ again tomorrow then.
I binged on cake yesterday. I hate having sweet things in the house because that's what happens and I can't throw it out because invariably my wife will ask where it's gotten to.
I've devised a tardy, trashy little scheme to get rid of the stuff and make myself feel a little better - but not completely. The plan still doesn't sit well in me but it's the best I've come up with so far.
I’ll pack a piece of sweet stuff for my wife every day for lunch (which she invariably won’t eat because she gets too busy at work) and at the end of the day I’ll throw it out because it’ll probably have gone yuk.
Underhanded. That’s why it’s not sitting right.
My problem is that I have a huge issue with letting food spoil or throwing it out if it isn’t spoilt.
I don’t like this little scheme and I still feel bad about it, but at least 90% of the sweet stuff will be binned.

Any other suggestions?

Ciao for now.

That's not underhanded...that's survival. LOL. It sounds like you are much stronger than me, as I couldn't even "pack" certain sweets for my husband without eating part of it, (especially if there was more stored in the house). I'm terrible! So we just don't have sweets in the house, unless he hides them from me. The other thing we do is he gets sweets that I don't like. That way he can enjoy them and I don't crave them. It may not always be like this---once I get stronger and really ingrain a healthier diet into my life.

Survival...I like that point of view! Hehe. I've thought about it more (or perhaps obsessed a little more?) and I cannot expect my wife to give up or change her diet to what I'm doing so I'll simply have to be good...and pack her sweet things in her lunch every day :) It seemed to work yesterday.
