lmalambri's Journal, 01 April 2013

So yesterday was Easter, aka "family binge eating day". This year there were three desserts I couldnt have. One was an agel food type cake shaped like a bunny with COCONUT icing, one a white cake with that really yummy cool whippy type icing and one strawberry pie.
At dinner, I was very good. I tried to fill up on ham and turkey, which were both amazing. I had a little asparagus and some salad but mostly I focused on eating meat even though coconut icing cake is basically all I could think about. I seriously had to leave the room as everyone was eating it. So I had three low carb beers to celebrate being good on my diet.
Then I get home and find out that there were a ton of carbs in the ham and turkey that I ate(!!) bringing my total carbs for the day to 37. Honestly, this diet is so frustrating I could scream. I may as well have eaten the damn cake because I have taken my body out of ketosis by eating meat. Its enough to make me want to cry. No one else in my family has to be this paranoid about food. My sister is a size 6 and never worries about her weight. For me, its all I think about. I have to change my clothes 20 times to find something that hides my fat, which is one of basically four outfits that I have so I always end up wearing the same thing.
Not that I am bitter about any of this you see.
ARRRRGHHHH. Well "today is a new day" so I can punish myself all over again.

You can do this, and what better motivation than a trip this summer! It is hard the first week or two, but if you stop the sweets, it's a piece of cake after that, trust me, I have been there.
