Today was Day 20 of Insanity and a day off! :) I had to do SOMETHING, though, so I did the cardio max 1 & 2. Lazy day of sorts...also my daughter's birthday. No longer have any teenagers...not sure HOW I feel about that one. Well...other than OLD! LOL....

I'm trying to save some calories to enjoy a piece of the carrot cake I made for her. Between the WW style cake (cake mix with a can of diet soda instead of eggs, oil, etc.) and a cream cheese frosting recipe I found in the Hungry Girl 1-2-3 cookbook, 1/12th of the 9 x 13 pan is only 215 calories...not bad. Might add a few calories to that by another dollop of fat free cool whip and a couple of dark chocolate chips and a half a pecan....All bad foods in terms of them not actually BEING FOOD! :D But, what are you gonna do? Gotta live, gotta celebrate occasions and this seems least damaging.

No, no: you've got it all wrong! Carrot cake: it's full of vegetables (hint: it's in the name). Cream cheese: double-dairy, again look at the name. Last time I checked pecans are nuts (lots of good stuff in nuts) and finally, we all know chocolate is definitely one of the 5 main food groups, along with wine (full of grapes). __________ So, enjoy!

I agree- chocolate, at least DARK chocolate ought to be it's own food group! And wine, yup-yup. So... what are the other three? :) =========== And yes, I think she's enjoying her day... not doing anything super special, but I think she likes to lay low on her birthday. I don't know what I did to her! Thanks, both of you. Way to make me feel GOOD eating CAKE (I'm chuckling over that one, K!) I look forward to your email!

I just had a look at the DVD. Three levels of a two minute warmup followed by three "circuits" of 3-2-1 minutes of Strength, Cardio, and Abs. Interesting and doable although I stopped and watched through the first level doing parts but not all of it. I'll try again tomorrow, it doesn't look exactly easy though. Thanks redwinelover, have a good night! :-)

Hi Info....I hope you end up enjoying it. It's not supposed to be easy! :D What kind of results would one achieve if it were? :) It's also a type of interval training, which is why I think it's so effective. Good luck and keep me posted on it!
