I didn't give up my favorite food I started measuring my servings, so I don't eat so much. I quit snacking all day and found out I am not hungry if I don't eat a string of food all day. I keep track of my calories on myfatsecret app and if my meals change I input which is best to eat. I found out I can eat fast food sometimes by checking it out on my fatsecret app to see what is lowest in calories on the menu.
