187.6 lb Lost so far: 18.7 lb.    Still to go: 17.9 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Please tell me why staying away from starches is better than staying away frim carbs.

Hi @lessthan15! Carbohydrates is a macronutrient that provides quick energy and your brain especially needs it! Its found in starches, veggies and beans and legumes🤩 starches (a food group) consist mostly of simple carbohydrates, especially your white starches, which yes will provide energy but wont keep you full for very long😅 Starches should be consumed in moderation, rather get your carbohydrates from veggies and legumes and from wholegrain starches so you can up your micronutrient and fibre intake🥳
