Good morning!! It's a bright blue sky day here in MN today. Yay! Even though there is still snow, the blue sky lifts the spirits.

I had a weak moment or two last night. My food choices were healthy all day. Then I had a serious binge attack...ice cream and Oreos. It was soooo good. I thought I should feel guilty about it but chose to enjoy it and begin again today. So I fell off the wagon, scraped my knee and hopped back on again. I guess that's the secret to our failures. To take each one in stride and get back on track again.

I am working on being kind to myself. Using kind words when I 'self-talk'. No more glancing in the mirror in the morning and running a negative thought through my head about my appearance. I am simply ME. My body shape has nothing to do with the gifts I have been given to use in this lifetime. I do, however, have a responsibility to maintain a healthy body so that I can live my life to it's full potential. That I will acknowledge and accept...and will continue to strive for health.

I've signed up for a Zumba Toning class that starts April 8th. Just one evening a week. I am really looking forward to it. My girlfriend and I are doing it together. Should be lots of fun. We agreed to stand in the back row - so that when we goof-up or simply poop-out we can laugh about it and not disturb the whole class.

Easter week is upon us and I am happy to report that I have not purchased a single Easter egg, M&M, malted milk ball or Peep. I decided just not to bring them home. Feels kind of lackluster with no Easter baskets sitting around. I kept my Easter decorations to a minimun as well. It won't hurt me to move into Spring without the huge chocolate rush that Easter brings.

I had to laugh as I drove up to my home yesterday afternoon. It looks like a woman with a very split personality lives here. The Christmas holiday decorations still in the windowboxes, the old fashioned sled propped up on the house, evergreen wrapped around the porch railings, a bright green shamrock wreath at the front door and Easter eggs cascading on either side of my garage door. Hmmm. Time to decide on a theme here. Today will be glue gun, tulip, lilac, pussywillow wreath day. All the rest can be put away until next year.

Happy Spring....it truly IS around the corner. Honest! It's just under the snow right now. Stay healthy!!

Love your attitude ; being kind to ourselves goes a long way toward helping us achieve our goals in life! I hope you enjoy your Zumba toning class, you know I'm a Zumba addict, right? I haven't tried toning; no classes offered around here. I started out in the back row but quickly moved to the second row where I can see the instructor better. I laugh at my mistakes and keep going; my instructors have told me I bring good energy to their classes! I hope you and your friend have a great time! Your assorted decorations made me smile. Spring is definitely springing here, so we finally brought the last Christmas decoration in from the front of the house. My lemon thyme wintered over, my pineapple sage survived and has new growth, , the fuschia is starting to bud; even the snapdragon has buds on it!
