This was so me this weekend and too much of socializing. What do you normally do after a bad weekend... Just go back to your normal calorie requirement or do you for example cut back a bit on Monday to compensate...

Just go back on monday and try and be better next weekend.. i am overall making improvement every week so that is a good motivator.. i find if I try and compensate in the week for unhealthy eating over weekends that just makes me binge in the weekends more

Tx marike. Much appreciated. I have around 10 kgs I would love to lose... Been a yoyo dieter and finally decided to count calories and include everything in my diet rather than following these vlcd. Was on the dr cohen diet...awfully restricting and everytime I did it, I regained all the weight a few months later... So trying something more realistic this time and enjoying it as well.

alcohol is a killer for me. I don't even drink that much but when I do (even just one or two drinks) I'll retain water for daaaaays after. I have made a mental agreement with myself that when I go to a restaurant, the outing is my treat... the food doesn't have to be... so I choose to eat things like salads or chicken and veggies at restaurants, not as a diet punishment, but as a way of supporting my own goals. its a big mental shift for me.

Realistic diets is key! It has to be something you can sustain or else there is no point what you are changing... it has to be a lifestyle not a diet🌿

At a time I did sparkling water with lemon instead of alcohol which worked quite well, so might try that again 🤔

I'm curious... I usually save around 200 calories daily for some sweet treats at the end of the day... Keeps me from feeling deprived. What's your thoughts on that... The rest of the day I eat pretty healthy focusing on protein and a few carbs...all whole foods.

@lessthan15 if that works for you then that is amazing! Its a great way to prevent bingeing if you know it is allowed* When i worked out a mealplan for my dad I knew i had to include some gingerbiscuits or 2 blocks of chocolate cause he is so much happier and is better able to stick to healthy food the rest of the time. Myself, I dont really have a sweet tooth, salty chips is my downfall, and once I start I cant stop, so its better for me to avoid it all together 😅 We are all different and needs to find what works beat for ourselves
