I am sitting here listening to the hold music at IRS for 20 minutes and 23 seconds now wondering how many calories there are in Calgon. The whole 'take me away' thought is appealing but I want to make sure I have room in my RDI if I suck in any bath water as I can't keep my mouth shut today.
I received a letter from the IRS in the mail ~ they've received my return and are in the process of conducting a thorough review because of something amiss reported on my return.
No fake, Jake. As I haven't filed a return yet, I'm sure things look odd compared to my normal return. Just how much was Thefty trying to get? So that's a bit of good news; my ID theft person has to wait for their return, too.
I know why they won't give out the information. I get the 'we have to protect your privacy in case you are in fact the fraud' thing. But I think it's also because they know if I knew who was creating this living, walking, breathing hell for me.. well... I'd probably lose my manners. Apparently the IRS knows me pretty darn well. Thefty doesn't else they'd never want to be me much less pay my taxes.
24:52 now ~ did you know you could go online to check the status of returns at www dot irs dot gov? I do.

You poor thing. Hope you got some results for something today. Calgon take me away is a great idea. You need to relax Bella. All of this will work out. It's just a pain in the butt. Thinking of you and hoping you take that bath. You deserve it.

Scrappy doodles! I sure hope this all get cleared up soon. You deserve a Calgon moment at a spa with a thorough massage after....

Bella, I honestly don't think Calgon works that way. I think that's the ultimate punishment for people that steal identities-make them take over all the responsibilities of the person whose identity they stole.

Just out of curiosity...does the muzak on the IRS phone system play "The Girl From Ipanema"?

Wow Bella. I would probably be in jail by now. Considering that virtually everyone's social security number has been hacked, I figure it is just a matter of time before it is my turn. I will probably go overboard (I always do!) and threaten their very existance. Hunt them down and carry forth the eye for an eye justice of Hammurabi. I do have one thing going for me though - being broke for years on end! That makes me far less attractive for identitity thieves. I hope this passes quickly for you and that it is fixed soon.
