I feel like I have no control over when my body is going to retain water or not. This time it went on for about 4 days, then all of a sudden gone! & I'm at my lowest weight so far. I'm trying to stay away from salty foods, so I wonder what else keeps causing it...?

My weight does that too, often for no obvious reason. I know there are some foods that have a lot of sodium that do not taste salty-bread is one of those, there's a ton of salt in many types of bread. Diet soda has a lot of it, too. Medications can cause you to puff up sometimes (or forgetting to take them, which is what usually causes it for me-I swell up like a puffer fish). If you eat a lot of fiber rich food, sometimes it will soak up all the water you drink and then some, making you heavier on the scale. In any case, most of the time it just disappears in a few days, as you said. I'm sure you'll figure it out! You've made a lot of progress with your weight loss journey, I'm really inspired by your determination.

Ugh, water weight fluctuation is inevitable when viewing it on the scale. :) For the past two mornings, my weight went up by two pounds, and then back down two pounds (from before, so technically down four pounds from three days ago). I have no idea what causes it, but I would assume that high sodium foods (soups, sodas) would cause water retention. Good luck and congratulations on being at your lowest weight!! :)

Thanks for the comments you guys! :) Yea there's so many things that can cause it. It's interesting... some mornings when I feel like I am going to weigh-in heavier, I actually weigh less! And sometimes when I've been doing everything right & expecting a lower weight, the number goes back up! lol
