Today's the day. I started my South Beach Supercharged diet. So far, it's going rather well. I haven't worked out yet, but I plan on doing so later this evening.. maybe after dinner. It's just so freaking hot and humid out.. feels like 103 out.
The food's not that bad. I'm almost following the menu in the book to a "T"..I had like 4 fruit loops so I could get my son persuaded that they were good to eat, and a taste of his chicken rice.. I've discovered that if I just have the taste of it, chew it for 3 times, and spit it out, my craving for it goes away. That can't be so much of a bad thing when you're trying to cut them out. I swear I've eaten 2 pounds of veggies today. The Chock Full of Veggies Chili was pretty damn good too. I just put some shredded cheese and lowfat sour cream on it, and wouldn't ever guessed that it's good for me.
I have a secret I need to divulge. I haven't weighed myself today. I'm afraid to. I know I gained my weight back after being sick from the stomach flu.. and I Know that's a good thing, but it kinda makes me feel like a failure still. I dunno what's wrong with me..lol. All I know is that I'm really looking forward to my Hearts of Palm "potato" salad tonight and grilled steak! This diet really appeals to all senses. I'm just glad I'm not dating anyone right now, because all this ruffage and meat makes for a gassy companion in me.. lol!! I don't care though. Gas can leave me, fat can leave me.. and I'll be much happier when I'm able to get down to a size "healthy" as the Queen says.
