Went to a BBQ for my MBA program today, it was good but I kind of went off the rails a little since there really wasn't super healthy food AND an open bar. I don't even think I took in a lot of alcohol so I'm not sure what it was but I was feeling it way quicker and had to bump up dinner to be able to make it home.

Came home and went for a quick swim but maybe I'm still dehydrated from the heat and booze and all because I started feeling ill and had to come inside. (To be fair, I don't spend a lot of time in the sun in weather like this because I'm really fair-skinned and burn easily.)

All I want to do now is nap but I feel like I should do something more exercise wise (and I do need to do homework by tomorrow night for my class). Sigh.

Does not help that the scale was up a little this morning. Logically, I know it's probably nothing to worry about but it bugs considering how sore and tired I felt when I got up. I really could've used another hour or so of sleep.

Ugh. Sitting here, trying to rehydrate and seriously just wanting to fall asleep in the a/c.

Sounds like you've had a fun weekend. That's great! I'm very envious if you have access to a pool!!! :) that is GREAT exercise. We have a "pool"....looking a little yuck lately. So I've had to hit the park pool to swim! This has been one of the hottest summers ever. I LOVE swimming!! And the work out benefits are such a plus. That is one exercise I can do no problem!!! :) Thanks for the words of encouragement the other day. I feel MUCH brighter today! I will always allow myself ONE grump day here and there....but NO more!!! Ha ha. What exactly are you going to school for? My husband is pushing for me to continue some schooling....instead of taking some so so job. I do have a associates in business management....and did many many years of managing....this last job...bank management...taught me NO more!!! :) I know that has added to my difficulties in finding another job. Apparently people don't wanna hire a ex bank manager to pick up cow poop!?!? But trust me....I'd much rather do that!!!! Lol Hope your Sunday finishes great!!! :)

I did have fun but I'm kinda feeling guilty for what I ate at the bbq. I'm working on an MBA. I have a BS in biology and philosophy but it's not helping much in the job search.

Don't beat yourself up for having a little too much. It happens. I have read on several forums that one cheat day a week will not hamper your weight loss. I'm sure you will do better tomorrow. Good luck.

Yes I agree....don't fret one day of eating bad. One thing I have learned through this process so far....I WILL not get on the scale daily! I am mentally not up for that! lol it seems weight can fluctuate so much....and when I see my weight UP when I know I've been "good".....it really bums me out! So about once a week I weigh in. It's easier to accept the whole week of calories in verse calories burned. If you have 6 days good....one day not so good....it won't show for the week. ( or so I like to think). Think it's great your furthering your education!!! :) Thats awesome!
