It's been raining here but luckily it let up before time to take my daughter to her work out. I decided to walk the track today instead of the parking lot since the little kids stayed home with their dad. I set my stride correctly in my pedometer last night to get a more accurate reading. I found online that a "basic" way to do it for women is my weight x .413= my stride. Well pedometer had been set for a stride of 39 inches.. mine is only like 26 lol.
I have been walking and make it over 1.5 miles many times but 2 miles has been out of my reach. I am not allowed to jog but this was a goal I was sure I could reach. Sure enough today in 45 minutes I walked 2.10 miles!! That was an awesome feeling.
My new goal is to make it 2.5 next week. Since I can't jog or run I know there will come a time that I will max out but I will reach as far as I can.
I have realized I have to find something to help me stop grabbing a snack when the kids have been fighting non-stop all day. I finally (as stupid as this is) have put a lock in the back ice box where the kids snacks are stored now. There is nothing bad but even yogurts in excess is not good lol.
Hope all have a great evening..I am adding weights to exercise starting tonight.. :)
