Damn. Not the results I had hoped for. My blood sugar was normal (yahoo!), but the cholesterol (down 39 points), triglycerides (down 33 points), and the Vitamin D (up 18 points) are not where they need to be. They are better; but not "good". I did prove to myself that making better food choices is a significant contributor to my blood chemistry and I am very grateful that I have chosen to make good choices.
I have made my appointment with the doctor and I will take whatever meds he prescribes so that I can still be here for my children. I will continue my weight loss journey in the hopes that the prescriptions will be a temporary fix and that my long term weight loss will be the ultimate answer.
I have much to learn and I need to do research to enable myself to make even better food choices to continue to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides. How to increase my vitamin D - that is a good question. I think I will need to continue to lose weight (it is fat soluble) and then I need to get outside more. Sunshine? Maybe a UV lamp? Hmm.
