I went to the gym today. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, lifted weights for arms, did crunches, leg raises and oblique exercises for the abs. I also ran. I only ran 1/2 a mile. I forced myself to run on the track instead of the treadmill and I HATED it. It's 6 laps to a mile and I was only able to do 3. I don't know where this mental block comes from about the track, but I absolutely hate it. I can run 4 miles all at once without stopping on the treadmill, and on the track I can barely make it half a mile until I give up. I don't know why I hate it so much, but I do. When I tried to run outside, I made it 1/3 of a mile before I had to stop due to shin pains. Outside of the treadmill, I am a mess. On the treadmill, I'm great. I am trying like hell to get used to the track so I can gradually step up to running outside. I figure its treadmill - track - outside. I intend to keep forcing myself to run on the track, on the days I am not running on the treadmill. I hated lifting weights and now I lift weights. I hated running and now I run 4 miles. I believe I hate running on the track and I will somehow be able to run longer distances on the track. Maybe if I had a personal trainer yelling at me to do one more lap, I'd do better. I don't know. My dream black bikini came UPS today. I have got a ways to go before I'd be comfortable wearing it out of the house. Still, I'm super glad I bought it. It's a total reminder of where I want to be. And I intend to get there in the next 6 months.

great job with all the exercise and pushing yourself to run on the track. A track seems so much bigger (of course) than a treadmill. I like your new picture. You look really great. :)
