Tonight is the start of my daughter and I doing Yoga together. We bought a DVD and after work we're going to do it. Her back has been hurting and she's only 11, so I'm wondering if maybe getting her active and stretching will help. She isn't super excited, but I'm hoping if we can do it a few nights a week and make it a routine, she'll enjoy it. It will be our time together, and hopefully her back will stop hurting. (She's been to the doc and everything looks okay.) Plus, it will make me accountable on those days to at least get some sort of activity in.
We had a birthday party on Saturday, so cake and ice cream for me, not good. Then, we had no time for dinner before more people came over, so we got some fast food, again not good. No exercise either because Saturday I was doing so much running, cleaning, and preparing there was no time, and Sunday I was just lazy. I have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed this week in the scale, but I know I am the only one to blame. At least now until Christmas we don't have any more events where cake, cookies, or other food will be involved!

I know when I was your daughters age my back would kill me. I went to the doc and they looked into posture and everything. In the end, they said it was because I was developing. Not sure if that is what is going on with her, but just a thought. Exercising never hurts. :)

How did the yoga go? I just can't get into it. Too bad would be great for off days and my aching joints

We did the Jillian Michaels Yoga DVD. It wasn't too bad. Level 1 is pretty easy and only about 35 mins., but by the end I was sweating. I think we'll stick with Level 1 for a couple of weeks and then see about going to Level 2. My daughter seemed pretty positive about it and wants to do it again, so I'm happy.

That's great! I would love to have something to do with the kids besides the Dance 3 video game! But my son is so busy and my daughter just isn't there yet.
