vinnyv11's Journal, 21 June 2010

So I had a good week based on the scale. Loss of 4 pounds but more importantly I hit a loss of 50 LBS 44 of which have been in the last four months where I have been really focused. I was happily surprised considering I didn’t feel like I had put that much work in this week but hey I’ll take it. I can definitely tell I’m losing weight but I’m not seeing as dramatic a difference in looks as I expect maybe its just because its harder to notice because I’m doing this the right way gradually.

I really didn’t think about it until I got to this point but I am really setup nicely for the next couple weeks/months because I should hit major milestones every two – four weeks or so based on the milestones below.

Milestones:
6.2 lbs – 50% to goal and COLOR CHANGE!!!!
15.5 lbs - Under 200 for the first time in forever
24.2 lbs - No longer obese ever again
35.8 lbs - 75% to goal and COLOR CHANGE!!!!!

Definitely looking at it this way gives me a lot more to be excited about as some big short term goals are coming up instead of just thinking I still have another 24.2 lbs to be overweight rather than smaller increment goals.

Anyways just some thoughts for the day.

Congrats on making your 50 pound mark - relish the accomplish and knowing you are on your way to your goal. I read your profile and love your reward (skydiving). In 2004 I lost 100 pounds - skydiving was my reward. I will tell you it is an AWESOME experience. I am thinking about making it my reward this time! Good luck and stick with it - you are doing great!!

Congrats on hitting the 50 mark! Isn't it a great feeling?! It's hard for you to see the difference since you look at yourself all the time. Sometimes it's hard for other people to really notice if they see you every day. I really didn't start seeing a big difference from 250 to 227 until last week. Weird, isn't it?
