Week 2 of the 100 Miles in 4 Weeks challenge is drawing to a close. I walked 4.3 miles today....3.3 this morning and then that 1-mile loop tonight. That brings my Week 2 total mileage to 26.4 miles and my challenge total to 52.2 miles at the halfway point of the challenge. So far, so good.

Little by little, this additional mileage is getting easier for me, even when I do it all at once, like I did on Monday. Still, given my choice, I'd break it up into at least 2 sessions each day. Tonight, I began to break in a new pair of shoes!

Tomorrow there's a chance of rain in the morning, so I'm not quite sure how my walking will fit into the day. I have no specific commitments tomorrow, so I'm hoping to make up a batch of pumpkin chili and.....work on that bedroom. Seems like it's on the bottom of my list these days and I just need to get that done, so I can put away all the paint, brushes, rollers, trays, tape, etc. that's taking up my kitchen table right now. I feel like I have procrastination perfected these days...LOL!

My wedding ring went to the jeweler yesterday and he didn't show any shock at how damaged it is. Luckily, this is a guy who's been working on repairs for over 20 years, so he probably has seen a whole lot worse! Once I get it back, it will be a very tangible reminder to keep my weight in check, as I don't ever want to be in a position where I have to get it cut off again (because it's the only way it can come off).

That's not surprising at all, Bren. I still remember the jeweler at the store where we bought our rings telling me that the best way to keep my ring shiny was to use a small toothbrush on it with shampoo every time I showered! And, I have to say, it was good advice, as I always thought my ring looked pretty bright. And, yes, I remember that Palmolive commercial with Madge....wasn't it? I'd wish you a good evening but I know it will be for you....after all, it's Survivor night!

Yes, she really does put the miles on! I was thinking about you this morning as I was walking the dog & trying to keep my speed down to a relaxed one. It was nice, walking that is, really got to see in lots of peoples houses, (dark outside & they have lights on), not too many people did I see, but lots of living rooms!

GG...I love walking at night around Christmastime (obviously not as cold here as by you). That way I get to take a look at everyone's outdoor and INDOOR decorations that are visible from the sidewalk.
