mars2kids's Journal, 15 October 2012

No workout today. I just couldn't make myself get out of bed. It was one of those mornings that I was laying in bed thinking "Can I call in sick and just sleep?". But no, I still would have had to get up and take the kids to school and the dog to the groomer, so I would have been up anyway, I may as well work. Now, I just need to prop my eyelids open until 5 and I'll be good.
I'm needing to find some warm lunch ideas to make now that it's cooling off. I will have soups, but I get sick of soup pretty fast, so I'm trying to think of some other options. A cold sandwich or wrap just doesn't always sound good when it's chilly out and that's been my staple lunch since last spring. My goal this week is to work on finding some recipes that I can maybe make ahead for the week and just warm up on my break.
Somebody brought muffins into the office today and it's taking all I have not to go to the kitchen and devour one. I know it would put me way over my calories and carbs for the day, so I have to stay strong.

I had the same thought as I was laying in bed this morning! Must have been one of those days! A vegetarian chili is always a good idea for a warm make ahead lunch...not sure if you have ever heard of Hungry Girl but you can find some great recipes on her website and she has a pretty amazing vegetarian chili! 5 hours and counting!
