desifink's Journal, 01 June 2010

Soooo, back from my trip. Stress and constant temptation got me on Wednesday and I said "screw it" and went whole-hog on the carbs. When I got back home on Thursday night I planned to get back on the wagon Friday...but a busy weekend, cookouts, and lack of planning got me again. On the plus side, I managed to get some exercise in every day, mostly in the form of yard work. I'm back on track today - had my boot camp workout in this morning and am feeling more in control. I feel better without all the carbs, too; less bloaty and foggy. I haven't checked in yet to either challenge that started last week, but I'll do that tomorrow morning after a full day of clean eating today. There's a quote somewhere about how success isn't not failing - it's getting back up and trying again each time you fail. If that's true, I'm on my way to being a success!

Its hard enough to stay on a program when we are home being away for an extented time is really tough. I think that comes after a long time eating this way, then it just becomes your normal. Yes you are on your way to success. :)

I am nervous about my trip to San Antonio in July. It will be the first time in 5 months that I won't have control over my food choices.
