BG 120; My cholesterol report is AMAZING!!! Since my late 30's my cholesterol has run well over 400. I did the low fat and low cholesterol diet they gave me and never had any change. Yeah, I'm suppose to be dead lol. My doctor put me on lipitor last year but my cholesterol never budged. It's been right at 500 the whole time. I stopped taking lipitor after my last test in March 2010 which was 505 and I went low carb April 6th. So just 6 weeks of Low carb and my cholesterol dropped 337 points!!! I'm now at 168!! AND, I'm eating BUTTER and loads of eggs, fatty meats and mayo, lol! WOOHOO!!! My doctor is also very happy that my A1C is 5.7. --- Oh.. my mom is stable. I talked to her on the phone just a few minutes ago. I have no idea when she's coming home for sure as they're still trying to locate where she's losing blood, but she sounds REALLY good. I have located a ride if I need one so that's all taken care of. I'm SO happy she's being taken care of so well. Hopefully though, she'll be home this next week. Fingers crossed :D

Thanks so much everyone! What this does is prove to me that it's NOT fat and cholesterol from foods that's the real problem. It's the GRAINS, SUGARS and PROCESSED FOODS! What blows my mind is so many following their doctor's advice is loading up on oats and taking drugs to get their cholesterol under control. I know when I've lost my excess fat my diabetes will be a thing of the past. All these meds and doctor visits for preventable diseases. But then diabetes and cholesterol is big business :(

Bless your heart, Ruby! I'm so happy for you on all fronts. Have you noticed an improvement in the fibomyalgia pain, too? I've noticed some improvement with my rheumatoid arthritis. So much so that I stopped taking my meds for about a week. Big mistake. Storm fronts started coming though, and I was in agony. Well, we learn, don't we? lol I don't know how my cholesterol is, but I've decreased my insulin by a LOT. I no longer take the short acting stuff. I had to buy new bras coz the old ones were loose even on the smallest notch. Figures I'd lose there first. Keep going, woman. We are empowered now. Hear us roar! I can't wait to see the look on my doctor's face when she tells me I don't have to take any meds anymore. muahahahahahahahahaha!
