Djburney's Journal, 18 September 2012

I'm looking forward to a wonderful day on the Oregon coast with my two beautiful daughters. The three of us have not taken a vacation together in years, and we have so much fun together! We talk, discuss, and mostly laugh. These days together are creating memories that will stay with us forever.

So as you can see, my focus is on the pleasure of being with my girls. Food is to give me energy to enjoy the activities. There is no reason for me to focus on food on this trip, when I have so much joy in other areas. I may even stop recording it this week, but not sure if I'm ready to be untethered to this accountability. Also, when I get home and get on the scale, I want to be able to look back and see what I did that caused either a loss (I hope) or a gain.

Whatever it turns out to be, when I get home, I am going to buckle down and do the hCG protocol exactly as prescribed and get this remaining excess weight off quickly and finally. I cheat on it, and from what I am reading, cheating has a bigger impact on hCG dieting than it does when you are just restricting calories without the shots. My cheats are small...full fat salad dressing, too much meat, alcohol (not so small), but they make a difference and slow down the fat expenditure.

Now, if I could get these girls to wake up and start the day!

Hahaha, have fun. Cheating is not always bad but it must be done in spread out intervals. If you do it once a week that seems ok but every 3 days would not be so good. Also, do not ignore the signs of hunger, when you are hungry you should eat, obviously eat smart, but feed the hunger. If you ignore it, you will eat more when you finally do eat. Speaking of which...my stomach is telling me that its lunch time.

You must be reading the same book! She talks about different levels of hunger and how to recognize them and the optimal time and amount and way to eat. On hCG it is different, because your body will have a much bigger reaction to cheats than on a regular diet, especially with carbs, which haven't been a problem for me except for my Oreo adventure a few weeks ago. Have a wonderful day. I can't get these girls out of the hotel room.
