As does mine. When that happens, I count to 100, very slowly and give it time to get it's act together. Then, if I still really, really want it, I will count to 100 again!! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And while counting, think of those numbers in POUNDS. lol Don't sweat it, we all hit a speedbump from time to time!! Now it's past and you are back on your path. Have a great day and better week!!

My willpower takes a vacation at least once a day. That's probably why I prefer counting calories, because if I screw up early in the day, I can make up for it at supper. I can even make up for it the next day if I really go over my calories. Don't be discouraged. Tomorrow is a brand new day!

Man, abbsciar, I wish that I could lose weight by counting calories. I am sooo carb intolerant, that I simply cannot eat any more than 20 grams of carbs a day.

I wont tell you to not worry about that candy, I know you really want to lose the weight and reach your goal. Have some treats you are allowed, there are wonderful atkins dessert recipes..I read where one lady cut an atkins bar in small pieces and put it in the fridge...when she really really needed that small treat that's what she would have. You need to set yourself up for success..if the candy calls to you they have to go. I want you to lose the weight and reach your goal. You can and will do this...hang in. :)

Thank you all for the encouraging words. I am back on track today. ctlss - how did you figure out you were carb intolerant? Lenny - that is a great idea. I think I will try that at home and at work.

Trepetski, being able to just say no will get easier for you. Like Lenny said, have some Atkins friendly snacks for these times. Not sure if you like the shakes or not but these help a lot. I also keep a few (only a few) SF candies in the house for these awful situations. If I really really really need chocolate I will slowly suck on one til it's melted and I feel satisfied. Other things you can try: SF jello, pumpkin pie, root beer floats.

I know I am sensitive to carbs because as soon as I try to add to them I stall or gain :( its just trail and error. I am hoping that as I lose more weight and get my body back where it should be ( after years of yoyo dieting) that I will be able to add to my carbs. :)

Well, I am going back to induction and we'll see what happens. I guess I'll try to keep my carbs as low as possible for a while and see where I end up. Thanks for everything.
