does anyone out there watch that "i can make you thin" program? i saw it the other night...interesting approach. both my husband and i are trying the whole concept of s-l-o-w-i-n-g down when we eat. putting our fork down after each bite...chewing...actually TASTING our food. a point was made of actually watching people eat...in general we WOLF it down! no tasting involved really :/ then we eat too much b/c our tummies haven't even had a chance to send up the "i'm full" feeling...or it might have, but we were so busy stuffing ourselves that we didn't even notice. both my hubby and i have found that its 100% true. if you eat slower, you get full faster...and the idea is to stop eating at that point. you might get hungry a little later, but then do the same thing : eat, eat slowly, stop when full. i guess the idea is that our bodies will stop wanting as much all the time. worth a shot right?
