It's much easier when you have support :) Get some friends on here, or offline to give you support, join some of the challenges and have fun. Remember, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change :)
One thing that helped me when I started was to think of food completely different.. for example, don't think of food like: chocolate=yummy, cabbage=yukky.... think like this instead: food=fuel
Think of your body like a car, what will fuel it best- chocolate=1mph, cabbage=10mph see :)

You can so do this! I had my doubts about dieting as well since everything I've tried has failed me in the past, but so far I've been able to stick to my own diet on here and count calories with no problem. I've finally realized I don't have to starve myself or kill myself on a treadmill to lose weight. You don't have to deprive yourself of the things you love...Heck, I fully plan on eating a 3 Musketeers later - But I'll still stay within my RDI, so it's all good. Check my food calendar journal thingy if you want...I eat lots of yogurt and Special K (The chocolate one is...YUM), but I also eat pizza, candy bars, and burgers occasionally. And I'm still losing. Good luck!!
