I'm a little nervous right now- the girls at work are doing a b-day party for someone, and they always bring awesome treats. But I did see a big tray of fruit go by, so I might be able to get by with a few pieces of that and bypass the cake! It's answering the questions about why I'm not eating the "good stuff", too that's hard.

Hi, Just to make you feel a little better about the "good stuff" as you called it. Do you remember those commercials where all those people are walking around with pastry butts and dounut butts? Just think of that when all of your Coworkers are scarfing down all the "good stuff"!!! You can feel secure in knowing that it's not gonna be on your BUTT!!! Good luck & be strong!! Laura

Ha! I love it! You're totally right- just keep thinking of the huge butts, and that will keep me away from those "tasty" treats! I'll keep that in mind....

One trick that works with these work parties is to take the cake and just push it around on your plate.. makes everyone think you are eating it and then you can toss it. I have alot of girls at work who seem to think it is there job to sabatoge my new eating lifestyle and they are always bringing just ME special sweet treats. I know this sound mean to do but I have a coffee cup with a lid that I will drop the treats into and then go into the kitchen later and toss them out. It has become easier than reminding them all that I don't eat sweets anymore. When I tell them I don't eat sweets anymore it seems to make them want to bring me more. I don't know whether they are just being nice and bringing me nice treats or if they are jealous that I look healthy and they want me to be fat again.
