Doilin's Journal, 16 August 2018

Today was not a good food day. Work was stressful. Forgot to make lunch. Literally ate a small meatloaf from work. Working in Grocery retail can seriously be tough on cravings. Had two work meetings which had snacks. Free bottle of soda, cheesecake bites and donuts. There was free cake in the breakroom. Dinner plans for the household got confused. Ended up throwing stuff together from the freezer for two of us instead of a household meal.

3505 cals. I know I basically undid the last two days of effort. I'll weigh in when I wake up and hope I didn't.

Don't be discouraged. You had one bad day, it happens, but you can get right back on your diet and on track to weight loss. Changing your life for the healthier is not an easy thing to do, especially in the beginning. It helps me to think about it like a ratio. You've had 1 bad day out of 3 or 4, not great, but if you stick to your diet for a month, that will mean 1 bad day out of 30. Much more acceptable. Even though you over shot your calorie goal, make sure you record everything. When your just starting out everything is just a guess. You need to record everything you eat as accurately as possible (I use a kitchen scale) to get a complete picture of the unique way YOUR body operates. Then you can set goals based on that.

I agree ! Don’t give up! You’re already putting the effort in and you are already successful in losing weight! We’re here to support you. Changes are tough especially when others can’t be supportive to you. I work with a bunch of women in an office and they’re all terrible eaters! I have been so diligent and stoic in my beliefs to change my life I’m now making a positive impact on them!

I understand. Pretty sure today I undid all the progress from the last two days. However I know that it’s not a bad thing. Not great but not bad either. We are human, we will forget our lunch and throw something together that’s not completely healthy every now and then. All we can do is try a bit harder and go easy on ourselves! Maybe this weekend sometime have 1-2 lighter meals to help even it out a bit. You’ll do fine and even if the scale stays the same or goes up, it’ll come back down soon!

Actually the last 3 days I’ve undone all the progress I’ve made the few days before that lol. Tomorrow’s a new day!

Sometimes I forget that I made a decision to make this a life long change too. Good luck as u work into this new life too!
