When I test my blood sugar before bed, if I'm below 82 I drink a 2 to 4 ounces of milk, if not I will go too low a few hours later and wake up with sweating/shakes. Anything over 5 carbs will make me high the next morning. Last night before bed, I was at 61, Oh-oh, so I had 4 oz milk and one Tbsp peanut butter. BG was 99 this morning. You have to test your blood often to see what you levels are and what your body needs. Then again, the T2D body does not always play by the rules.

My husband's will go too low and he gets the shakes too, but that doesn't happen to me. I'm just trying to stay off meds and eat healthier. I'm currently taking a diet break, but trying to eat lots of veggies which I didn't have very many yesterday ( only cauliflower, cole slaw and tomato)! Thanks for the input!
