So this morning I burned my bacon in the oven, but it was Hormel Black Label MAPLE bacon (no carbs!)...so it ended up tasting great regardless. Go figure!

This gets easier everyday. :) Unfortunately, I haven't exercised in the past few days due to the heat. I get migraines that are brought on by heat, so I have to be careful. Tonight I'm hoping to get a mile in after dusk when the sun goes down. Also I finally was able to purchase Chromium Picolinate and 5-HTP as suggested for Atkins diets and other low carbers. I'm already feeling better eating low carb, and I know these have been suggested to me by my doc and by low carb diet followers who swear by them. We'll see what happens!

Mamajava, admittedly I've burned some bacon, in the oven, as well, but that was because I forgot to start my timer, and was busy on the computer, instead of paying attention to my breakfast. However, I generally have it down to a science. Using a thick sliced bacon, and cooking it in a cast iron skillet, with the oven set to 400 degrees; my bacon comes out perfect, after twenty five minutes; no spattering and no turning needed. I pull it out, when the timer goes off, drain it on some paper towels, and cover it up, to hold in the heat, while I cook my eggs. :-) You can cook your sausage patties, in the same pan, and it's all done at the same time. On the Chromium Picolinate, I've taken it, in the past, but there was no noticable impact on my weightloss, one way or the other; so if it works for you, then fantastic, go for it.
