Most everything has carbs, veggies too. Eliminate simple carbs. I was amazed how may carbs I was eating. Thanks to this app I've been able to keep track of everything. Try Keto, I've dropped 38 pounds in 7 weeks, just watching my carbs. Plus my blood sugar has regulated to normal. You can do this. Good Luck!

Ur weight multiplied by 10 or 11 or 12 is the amount of calories a day u can eat in order to be in a calorie deficit

Are you opposed to eating more fat and/or protein?

For diabetes, we must keep carbs down (I do under 20 total) as well as limit protein. Unfortunately, you can have good BS numbers but still be insulin resistant. Ck out the FB group Common Sense Keto for great info on that.

Yes to plenty of good fats! And super low carbs like Lon Dunk said.

I eat mostly complex carbs & very little fat or protein. Ideally, 80-10-10. All of my pre-diabetes symptoms are completely gone. My first grocery shopping trip for the new plan, I nearly passed out from my sugar being too low. My feet were constantly swollen, they were mostly numb, my vision was always blurry, & I was drinking water by the gallon. Within 6 weeks, all symptoms were completely gone, 100%.

I usually only have 2 meals a day and do intermittent fasting. I don't eat after 2pm (usually, sometimes there's a bad day in there!). I pay attention to calories, protein, cholesterol, and fiber more than anything. Most of the carbs I get are from fruit, vegetables or beans.
