this morning about 630am Taking myself off the Phentermine the weight clinic put me on as an appetite control...considering it's in the same family as amphetamine(aka 'speed')and I've been on it for two years I might by paying the price...
I had to go in for a recheck with the eye doctor, a few months ago my pressure was high, this check, it still is...looks like I may have glaucoma.
Here's the rub, two years ago (at the time I started this weight program) my pressures where normal, but steadily increased since...now it's the highest I've ever had. (coincidence?) or maybe I just inherited my mom's eyes (she had it late in life).
So after talking with the eye doctor, then the clinic I'm going to hold off on taking those pills anymore then in a month do a recheck and see if that was the link, seeing some medications can effect your eyes and I'm taking nothing else known to have that effect (could even be a combo of the Phentermine + cymbalta I'm taking for the nerve pain).
Being told hit me like I got run over by a truck, with everything I've struggled through...it never ends with me, I feel cursed.

Phentermine could be impacting blood pressure for sure - and maybe your eyes, too.

Your not cursed. Unfortunately every med has a side effect to it. I'm so sorry about your struggle. Have you tried organic dandelion root.

Sounds like you have a great plan in place. I have glaucoma and I have normal pressures, just too high for my slightly weak optic nerve in one eye. It's a simple thing to keep the pressures down, just eye drops once a day. Hopefully your situation will be resolved with a change in your medications. Best wishes!

I'm sorry to hear about the possible glaucoma but if you DO have it at least there is medication that generally takes care of it. The blood pressure could certainly be caused by the amphetamine type drug. Just fyi, my eye pressures are high, have been for years but I do NOT have glaucoma Several eye doctors have told me that some people just HAVE high pressures. Maybe that's you. I pray that it is. God bless and hang in there.

the curse isn't just the eyes..
it feels like everything (if you all have read my history)one thing stacked on another...
I'll look into an herbal alternative to the phentermine.
